I don't get wet

The 'Wet' topic of Illustration Friday encouraged me to draw the little girl I saw at the parking lot of our local supermarket a while ago.

I made a pattern! Was a tough job to make it all work but there you go. I am quite happy about how it is not entirely symetric when you fill a large document with it. Thanks to skillshare.com!

Here's my Illustration Friday 'Bouquet'. The drawing is in gouache, the background is a Morguefile picture of a landscape with windmills that got a simple Photoshop treatment. I definitely like windmills. They are on my list of things to draw next.

Here are a few impressions I took from Italy, Tuscany and Liguria. There's more that I will need to finish from my memory. The blue and ochre paint were used a lot.

Dancing in the kitchen

Dancing in the kitchen is definitely something we should do more often.

Garden

What I like about challenges like Illustration Friday, is that they force you to go beyond your usual subjects. This one ('garden') got me to drawing plants and I think I will do some more of that in the future.
Also, I enjoyed very much drawing the gnome; it's the kind of stuff I used to draw as a kid. That, and fairies and princesses. Seems I still like the fairy tales...

We had a very nice few April days in London. This little girl apparently didn't want to be on a picture with Big Ben.

Two young girls trying to catch the bus on the first real spring day of the year. One of them had to hold her skirt while running it was so short.

Indicators

In my day job, I do (among others) something with indicators, goals and things like that. I have been trying to teach my colleagues and I know some of them have found it really hard.
I now leave that job for another one, and made this drawing as a farewell for my dear friends and colleagues in the organisation that I just left.

It was a sunny day, cold but something of spring in the air, I was taking my lunch break on the Muntplein (Place de La Monnaie) in Brussels and music was coming out of the opera house. Oh joy. (I am not the old lady, in fact this is not really the Place de La Monnaie, but it had pigeons, pillars, and that music).
